She is almost there!

Payton took a few steps over the weekend...she is so close to being up on her feet for good! She just turned 17 months old, so she is doing very well in light of having Down syndrome. We are thrilled and just wanted to share this video of her first few steps...

Green Gunk

I took Payton to the doctor yesterday because she has been sick. Her nose has been flowing like a river with green gunk! They gave us an antibiotic and it seems to be helping. She is so much more enjoyable when she is happy and healthy! Oh, and she weighed in at 22 lbs 8 oz!!

Ears, Ears and More Ears

I took Payton to the ENT today because I thought she had an ear infection because she has not been feeling that great. They said there was no infection, but that there was still fluid in her ears. She also had a hearing test and pretty much failed it. :( We are having her second set of tubes put in on May 30. We are hoping she won't have to have micro tubes this time since they appear to be worthless! That will all depend on the size of her ear canals and whether or not they have gotten bigger since the last time she had tubes.
